1/8" Raw Premium MDF Draft Board - Without Slick Finish - 11.75" x 16"

Overall I am really excited about this new option, I have only cut about 5 sheets so far... still trying to dial in the cut settings to get a full cut and as little char as possible.

1. So I know this will sound weird but the feel of the sheet... So if you compare the old Smooth finish to this Raw. It's like Glossy Paint vs Flat paint... you know how you get that chalky-ish feel with Flat paint. That is what it reminds me of.

2. Oh Mylanta and painting it! SAWEET!!! I love that it takes the paint so well... I haven't painted something with white yet... I will report back on that. But so far I love how it paints.

3. As far as I can tell even though this has a softer core... I have to say I do believe it is as strong as the smooth version. I haven't done major testing of this. Just breaking cut scraps compared to the smooth... they seem to be pretty close.

Ok so not gonna lie, once it is all painted up this can either be a Pro or a Con depending on your preference... but it is a little rough to the touch. I am ok with it. The couple of projects I have done so far I have left the finish because I liked it. And in the other case I took a super fine sanding block (I actually use one of those white nail buffer blocks, works like a charm) and sanded over the piece just to smooth it out a bit.

Overall I am really happy with this new option, I am just wondering now if I will use all of the smooth I still have LOL! Oh and I would love a 1/16 inch option... I know I know your sick of me asking. But sometimes you need the thinner stuff and I really hate the basswood ;).
